Over the past three years the St.Stephen’s Science Program has become a leader in experiential learning and outdoor education. Our science laboratory was recently commended by the Texas School Safety Center for its “organization, cleanliness, and interactive class environment.” The program initiates with a project-based birds and plant curriculum through an aviary and gardens in the 2nd-5th Grades, and created The Three seasons-Three Years field-school component the 6th-8th grade curriculum which includes water quality monitoring, archaeology, and birding and culminates in a week long interdisciplinary study of the archaeology, geology, and biology of the Lower Pecos and Big Bend (Rio Grande) stream systems.
At this time St. Stephen’s Episcopal School of Wimberley is requesting 6 gps units and a portable black light.
