6th Grade Assignments Sept 29-Oct 3

6th Grade Language Arts, Literature, Latin Sept 29-Oct. 3

We will begin the week with a general review in Latin class, and then we will go on to translate some English sentences into Latin.  The focus in spelling will be on reviewing the difference between possessive nouns and plural nouns. [Oh, those misplaced apostrophes often used at the end of plural nouns!L] In grammar we’ll review common and proper nouns.  Our main story, “When Crowbar Came,” is an excerpt from a book written by the famous children’s author, Jean Craighead George.  We will be looking at author’s purpose and continue our study of fact versus opinion.
