8th Grade Language Arts, Literature, Latin: Oct. 6-10
This week we will be learning how to give a synopsis of a Latin verb. Instead of having to write the entire conjugation for every tense, we write one verb in all tenses using the same person and number. Since this is the 7th week of the term, we’ll be able to do some special projects. We will read The Crucible, and we will have a free writing project. Our discussions will cover author’s craft, vocabulary, and literary elements: setting, exposition, rising action, climax, resolution, theme, and mood. As always these plans are subject to change according to the needs of the students.
