8th Grade Language Arts, Literature, Latin: Oct. 20-25
This is going to be an exciting week because of Base Camp and our dance at the end of the week; however, we do have to squeeze in a little work. We will be finishing the chapter on verb synopsis and we will be practicing reading psalm 150 in Latin. We will finish Act 3 in the Crucible, and there will be a quiz on Act 2 on Tuesday and on Act 3 on Thursday. The whole
middle school will be working on the VFW contest paper: Why America’a veterans should be honored. THE VETERAN’S ESSAY IS DUE ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 28!

US History assignments 10-27-10-31-08
Election Project Change the last assignment for week of 10/27/08 to making a campaign poster. The poster will be for one candidate: McCain, Obama, Ralph Nader, or Bob Barr, on an 81/2 by 11” paper, illustrated and with color. It must show why a person should vote for the candidate: attributes, characteristics, experience, candidate’s stand on issues. NO credit will be given for a poster that makes negative references to another candidate.
We will be working on a timeline of the events leading to the American Revolution for this week in class. It is due at the end of class Friday. Students should work on it at home as needed to finish timely.
