The Turning of the Leaves

In the turning of the leaves and the changing of the weather we are aware that the season is turning and that the earth is moving on its reasonable way. Turn us too, to each other in love and to our work with joy and wonder. In this week we should remember the candidates for public office and all those who will vote this week. Remember all of the people who have turned from this school to serve in government and public service. Let us be mindful to turn to God’s presence in the midst of the poor and powerless. Help us to be good citizens and to work for the common good. Help us to be mindful that it was Jesus who suffered injustice and then turned to rise to new life.
