6th Grade Assignments 11/10-11/14
Updated by on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 12:39 PM

We’ll start the week with some Latin fun.  We’ll learn “My Country Tis of Thee” and “Jesus Loves Me” in Latin. Then we’ll move onto learning about the imperfect tense, which refers to continuous action in the past such as, “We used to swim” or “We were swimming.”  Our spelling lesson deals with word endings such as “er” versus “or”.  We’ll be reading about the Coelophysis in literature, but we’ll still be dealing with main idea and details.  The students need to study their story questions Wednesday night to learn the important details from the story.  In grammar we’ll work on possessives.  The essay of the week is on being thankful during this season.  I’d like the children to reflect on the real meaning of Thanksgiving and who or what they should be thankful for.
