ST. STEPHEN'S EPISCOPAL SCHOOL YEAR IN REVIEW
Course is Set for Annual 5K

St. Stephen’s Episcopal School to Host Third Annual 5K/1K “Race for the Hills”

Students, parents and staff at Stephen’s Episcopal School in Wimberley are opening up their beautiful campus for their third annual Trailblazers 5K/1K Run on Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 8:30 am. The run is for the whole family and will be followed by a trunk or treat and traditional fall festival.

The 53 acre St. Stephen’s campus, nestled on 6000 FM Road 3237 between Kyle and Wimberley, offers a rigorous course for running enthusiasts, while also providing a 1K and a Kiddie K for even the youngest runners.

Fees are $20 for adults, $10 for children and military personnel, who are given a discount and $5 for the Kiddie K, which is a tenth of a mile run for children 4 and under. All participants will receive a t-shirt. Winners from different age divisions will receive a metal and runners under age 12 will receive a participation ribbon. All proceeds from the “Race for the Hills” will go toward the St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, providing opportunities for students to understand the mind, body, and spirit.

“We were thrilled with the turn out last year. We are looking forward to seeing many of the same runners again this year and a lot more,” said Diane Drew, St. Stephen’s “Race for the Hills” organizer.
