8th Grade Language Arts, Literature, Latin: Oct 12-16
8th Week of School
This is our last week for writing the Patriot’s Pen contest piece. Try to bring it printed Thursday morning. It will be easier to edit that way. We will move to writing verbs using the synopsis method which is taking a verb and translating it in all tenses, but instead of having to do the whole T chart you just use one “person” like putting ambulô in all tenses using just the third person singular. We’ll finish The Crucible this week, so be prepared to answer so thoughtful questions to be ready for at final quiz on Thursday. Next week we will be working on Three Cups of Tea in class, but you will be working on a project on The Crucible at home. I want to have some discussions with each of you on the two essays you have completed so you will be able to analyze your own writing and learning from you successes and mistakes.
