SSES Graduates : Where are they now?

                                                SSES Graduating Class of 2007

Kimberly Auerbach attends St. Michael’s in Austin.

*Jarrod Azopardi, Winner of the St. Stephen’s Award, attends Regent’s High School in Austin.

Chase Brown attends Dripping Springs High School.

Colin Illif, winner of PFO award, had a staring role in this summer’s children’s musical, The Music Man.  Colin attends Wimberley High School.

Maryhelen Murray attends St. Andrew’s High School.

Page Krafka was accepted by St. Michael’s but chose to attend Dripping Springs High School.

Carter Semicheck attends Katherine Ann Porter High School.

Justin Stephens attends Wimberley High School.

Hannah Thompson, winner of the science and literature/language arts book awards, partook in a workshop for promising young writers in Colorado this summer and will attend Hays Consolidated High School.

John Egloff is a sophomore at Dripping Springs High School.
Aysia Lopez is a sophomore at Hays Consolidated.
Katy Morris is a sophomore at Wimberley High School.
Matthew Seideman is a sophomore at Wimberley High School.
Colin Zapalac is a sophomore at Wimberley High School.

                                    SSES Graduating Class of 2005

Tyler Frazier is a junior at Wimberley High school, active with Computer Applied Design and UIL competition in current events.  Tyler also plays on the tennis team.

Sarah Jarosz is a junior at Wimberley High School. She continues to perform professionally both nationally and in the area and is often invited to play with celebrities when they come to Austin. Along with the mandolin and the guitar, she has added banjo to her musical repertoire.

Tessa McGinnis is a junior at Wimberley High School. She is ranked in the top 5 of her class. Tessa worked with mission groups in Korea and Eastern Europe.

Reed Nance a junior at Wimberley High School. He is active in scouting.

*Celeste Riepe, winner of the St. Stephen’s Award, is a junior at WHS this year. She played club soccer, joined the Austin Youth Orchestra, starting out as concertmaster, first chair, played violin and primary soloist of the Youth Philharmonic orchestra before moving into its highest ensemble, the Youth Symphonic Orchestra, and performed as 2nd chair violin with the Austin Area High School Orchestra. She ranked at the top of her class freshman and sophomore years.

Katie Thompson – a junior at St. Michael’s School in Austin.  Honors: Maxima Cum Laude National Latin Exam, Lopez Art (improvement award) and Konzen (highest grade) in theology, She is in honors English.

Rachael Balleguer, winner of the St. Stephen’s Award, is a senior at St. Stephen’s Episcopal High School in Austin. She is on the Texas State Olympic Development Soccer Team and mentored soccer students through the St. Stephen’s community service program.  She has been approached by TX A&M for a soccer scholarship.

James Blair is a senior at Katherine Anne Porter School in Austin. He is close to attaining his Eagle Scout Badge.

Michael Cook, “Michael is the only person I know who wrote a paper comparing the misunderstood creature in Frankenstein to nuclear power plans and received an A for his work while at St. Andrew’s!” Michael is now a senior at Dripping Springs High School attending AP classes.

John Emmons is a senior at Wimberley High School.

Mary Davis – After a year at St. Andrew’s in Austin, Mary returned to Dripping Springs High School to be closer to home. She is now a senior there and attends AP classes.

Madeleine Meeks is a senior at San Marcos High School and is a varsity cheerleader. She has been involved in student government, has gone on conferences with ASG, and works youth group with her church.

Alyssa Grieco is a senior at Wimberley High School and in all AP classes. She is in the top 10% of her class.

Meggi Sandefur is a senior at Wimberley High School.

Michael Seideman is a senior at Wimberley. He is taking agriculture and technical courses and is active in the FFA, will be on the varsity football team, and is looking into attending TSTC after visiting there last spring.

Geoffrey Abdullah graduated from St. Andrew’s High School in Austin. In the fall he will attend St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico.


Jonathan Gooch – graduated from Wimberley High School midterm 2007. He released his first CD, performs locally, and plans to work with a mission for two years before going on to college.

*Whitney Myers, St. Stephen’s award winner, graduated from St. Andrew’s School in Austin. As a freshman she won an award in geometry for writing a program that is still in use. She graduated with honors from St. Andrew’s and  will attend the University of the South.

Eric Osborn graduated from Regent’s High School in Austin. He played football, soccer, and lacrosse. He will attend the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Colton Swirczynski graduated from Regent’s High School in Austin. He played football, soccer, and lacrosse; He will attend University of Texas at San Antonio.

Sage Stephens graduated from Hays Consolidated High School. He is interested in business and works for HEB while attending Austin Community College.

Sarah Cook, St. Stephen’s award winner, is a sophomore at Rice University in Houston, TX. Sarah graduated from St. Andrew’s Episcopal High School in Austin with honors. She has received awards in Spanish, physics, and community service. She was a SAT commended scholar.

Rob Cook graduated from St. Andrew’s in Austin with an “Artist’s Distinction.” He delayed his acceptance at The University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio for a year at the Culinary Academy of Austin. He has painted a mural in the Methodist Children’s Hospital Emergency Room in honor of his grandfather, uncle, and aunt who dedicated themselves to medicine and community service. Presently he is studying graphic design at ACC.  He designed a book cover which will be published in 2009.

Rebecca Frazier attends Austin Community College. Her goal is to make and design custom jewelry and have her own business one day.

Travis Hallmark graduated from St. Andrew’s. He finished one year at St. Ed’s, and has transferred to Concordia Lutheran where he will play varsity soccer.

*Nicole Mebane, St. Stephen’s award winner, is a sophomore at Shreiner University. She was the valedictorian at San Marcos Baptist Academy where she received the “Extra Mile Award.” She also earned science, English, and math awards, the Outstanding Girls Optimist Club Athlete Award for the district, and the TAPPS award for singing. She was inducted into the National Honors Society as a freshman.

*Lauren Radice, St. Stephen’s award winner, is now classified as a junior at the University of Texas plan II (honors path).  She graduated with honors from St. Michael’s High School in Austin. She has ben working for a representative in Austin.

Joseph Ross attends Austin Community College.

Lilly Skipper was our very first graduate to attend college. She graduated from Wimberley High School early and went to St. John’s College in Santa Fe.  She is now playing her violin professionally, performed as the fiddler for Fiddler on the Roof, and is a sophomore at St. Mary’s University.
