Spring Extravaganza. You should have received an email evite for the Extravaganza pre-party on April 28th at the Mandola Winery. Please respond as soon as you know if you will be attending. The storage unit for extravaganza items has been delivered. Please bring donations; don't forget to bring the paperwork if you want to be recognized! Reminder to everyone: if they or someone (i.e. business) would like to be a sponsor for the Extravaganza, please send in your donation by April 10th.

Spring Orientations. New and returning families will join faculty and staff to discuss curriculum and the school calendar as we look to the 07/08 Academic year. If you have not yet attended any orientations the last spring orientation is April 12 for Middle School. Orientation will be held from 4-5 pm in the Parish Hall. Child care is provided. Summer Orientations will be held on August 16th for PK and Primary School and August 17th for Intermediate and Middle School.
Got ideas? Our children need to benefit. The mission of the PFO is to improve the quality of our children's educational experience at our school. Get involved with Committee work, serving as President, Vice President, Secretary, Communications or Volunteer Coordinator of PFO. Nominations are now being accepted. Please consider serving, or if you know of someone that would do a great job, contact Terri Thompson, our current president. The next PFO meeting is scheduled for April 17th right after drop off. Guest speaker will include Kolleen Blanton who will present an overview of the SSES science program.
The deadline for re enrollment contracts and tuition deposits for the 07/08 school year was last Friday. Open enrollment began April 1 for new students.
Target has sent a check donation on behalf of Target and the Take Charge of Education program. Target donates up to 1% of purchases made using the REDcard to eligible schools. Verizon has sent a royalty check on behalf of the Verizon Extra Credit for Schools program. Each time Verizon members make a long distance phone call, 5% of each member’s long distance phone usage is allocated to the member’s participating school of choice. Thank you to parents, teachers and community members for showing support each time you make a Verizon long distance phone call.
Update: Verizon will be discontinuing this program as of May 31, 2007.
9th Annual Butterfly Festival @ the EmilyAnn Theatre in Wimberley is April 21st from 10-4 p.m. There will be a Dedication of the Veteran’s Memorial Plaza , the Live Release of hundreds of butterflies, a Commemorative Air Force Fly-Over, a Butterfly Flight House, Live and Silent auctions, Butterfly art, Music, Puppet shows and Concessions. Congratulations to Madison Watts !! Out of 100 contestants at the Geography Bee, 9 were girls!! Madison answered the first 6 questions correctly! She missed the very last two questions, but in the finals heard how crazy-difficult they were and felt much better! The winner was last year’s winner, and 27 of the kids had been to the State Bee before. Once again, congratulations to Madison Watts for making it so far in the Geography Bee!!
