PFO Weekly Mail for May 8, 2008
Field Day Next week St. Stephen’s will have a Field Day for all students. This year Field day will take place on Thursday, May, 15, 2008. This is a day for students to participate in various relays and races throughout the day. The Pre-K students will start activities at 9:15 and finish at 11:00. Coach G is looking for 6 to 8 parent volunteers to help run each activity. If you can help, please contact your homeroom teacher and let her know or email Coach G at runnin01@yahoo.com. Grades K-5 will start their events at 11:45 and will finish at 3:30. The Snack Bar will start serving lunch at 11:00. This year the students will compete in 11 events. Each class will be divided into 3 teams. These teams will compete against each other throughout the day. Our wonderful middle school students will be in charge of each event. There is one event where the students get a little wet, so if you want your child to have a change of clothes please send them. Field day is a free dress day, but students are not allowed to wear white t-shirts. Since the events will take place in the afternoon you might want to send a hat and sunscreen with your child. We have all the equipment we need for field day, but we do need 2-3 water jugs for water stop stations. Please let us know if you can help by contacting Coach G or the office. 512-847-9857 |
