Year in Review: Gift to St. Stephen’s Library Opens Up World of Opportunities

St. Stephen’s students have a new opportunity to discover and learn new things in a very big way. Thanks to a donation of a 42 inch Plasma Screen, St. Stephen’s librarian, Rita Lindsey now links to on-line educational programs to enhance the learning experience for her students. The Watts Family owners of Chaparral Land Surveying in Austin donated the plasma screen, along with two laptop computers.

“This is amazing for our students and teachers. I am so grateful to the Watts family for helping St. Stephen’s optimize the educational opportunities we offer our family of students,” said Lindsey.

The two library laptop computers will be also used for the St. Stephen’s Accelerated Reading program. Students read designated books and then go on the computer to take quizzes, which test their comprehension.

The Watts have a seventh grade student at St. Stephen’s, Madison.
