2008-2009 Faculty
Teaching Faculty Armando Alvarez will serve as our Middle School Math Teacher. Armando has a BA in Integrative Biology from UC Berkley and most recently served as the XL Math Teacher for Mission Hall Middle School. Angela Bryant will serve as our Motor Skills / PE Teacher and Tennis Instructor. Ms. Bryant has a BS in Kinesiology from Texas State University and most recently served as the Assistant Tennis coach for Texas Lutheran University. Susan Campbell has been a faculty member since 2006 and has a BS in Elementary Education from Texas State University. Susan will serve as our Homeroom Teacher PreK2. Jo Martin has been a faculty member since 2007 and will serve with Katie Glasscock as our Teaching Assistants part time PreK2. Terri Rounsaville has been a faculty member since 2003 and has a BS in Education from the University of Oklahoma and a MEd from Texas Tech University. Terri will serve as our Homeroom Teacher part time PreK3. Mary Jarosz has been a faculty member since 1995 and has a Bachelors in Journalism from the University of Texas. Mary will serve as a Teaching Assistant part time PreK3. Bettie Frost has been a faculty member since 1996 and has a BS in Elementary Education and a MEd from Texas State University. Bettie will serve as our Homeroom Teacher PreK4 and PreK Team Leader. Susan Myers has been a faculty member since 1990 and has a BS in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Susan will serve as our Homeroom Teacher part time PreK4. Debbie Boxley has been a faculty member since 1993 will serve as a Teaching Assistant PreK4 & Kindergarten. Carol Thomas has been a faculty member since 1996 and holds a BS in Education from the University of Houston. Carol will serve as our Homeroom Teacher Kindergarten and Primary Team Leader. Megan Treadway has been a faculty member since 2007 and has a BA in Elementary Education from Texas State University. Megan will serve as our Homeroom Teacher 1st Grade. Erika Ganey has been a faculty member since 2007 and has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Bilingual Studies and a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Erika will serve as our Homeroom Teacher in 2nd Grade. Annette Leinneweber, new to our faculty this year, will serve us as the 3rd grade homeroom teacher. Annette has a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, ESL Certification and was recently the Lead Teacher in the Kyle First Steps Headstart program. Rebecca Gilpin has been a faculty member since 2001 and holds a BS in Elementary Education and Gifted and Talented Certification from the University of Houston. Rebecca will serve as our Homeroom Teacher 4th/5th and Intermediate Team Leader. Claire Frazier has been a faculty member since 1996 will serve as our Art & part time Teaching Assistant PK4. Kenn Peters has been a faculty member since 2004 and holds a BS in Sociology from the University Wisconsin at Oshkosh and an MS in Education from the University of Mississippi. Kenn will serve as our Spanish Specialist, Middle School Team Leader, & Director of Programs. Ann Jones is new to our faculty this year. She has a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Texas, Austin and Kodaly Certified from Texas State University. Anne will serve as our Director of Music and teach Middle School Religion. Laura Romano has been a faculty member since 1998 and holds a BS and MEd from Texas State University. Laura will serve us in the Center for Individual Studies. Ruth Ann Harwell has been a faculty member since 2001 and has a BS and MEd from Texas Woman’s University. Ruth Ann is a reading specialist with dyslexia training and will serve us in the Center for Individual Studies. Lauren Burrus has been a faculty member since 2006 and has a BS from the University of Cincinnati and a MEd from Xavier University. Lauren will teach 5-8th Science and serve as a Middle School Math Coach. Lisl Bambas has been a faculty member since 1989 and holds a BA from Wheaton College, an MEd from the University of Houston and a Masters Diploma in English Studies from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Lisl will teach Middle School Language Arts, Literature, & Latin Barbara Thibodeaux is new to our faculty this year. Barbara holds a Master of Arts in Public History from Texas State University, Master of Education from the University of St. Thomas and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston.
