Yeah for sand...SSES recently recieved a generous gift of beautiful fine-grained sand for the main playground. The children play with it so much that it tends to vanish!...prabably into your washing machines. We will need another load of sand this spring to re-new this important outdoor learning center. Congradulations! The SSES Science Department was recently awarded a $20,000 Honorarium gift in honor of our star science student, Haley Serafino! The gift covers the purchase of new science curriculum and safety equipment for Grades 1-8. This curriculum includes themed experiential learning kits from Carolina Biological Supply and Delta Education as well as materials for our garden, aviary, and anatomy classes. Nice work Haley!
